Active Space Technologies is developing activities in the emerging sectors within the Portuguese Space Industry. The company is currently working on spacecraft instrumentation and optoelectronics, developing technology for space applications.

Active Space Technologies has expertise in Thermal Analysis of instruments, satellites and launchers. These activities comprise research, development of products and technical consulting.

The staff of Active Space Technologies has experience in spacecraft Instrumentation. Our collaborators are highly qualified in building and calibrating electric sensors for space missions. The team of Active Space Technologies has participated in the calibration of two instruments on the lander aboard Rosetta and are currently developing instruments for other planetary missions.

In this domain Active Space Technologies is constantly looking for new partners envisioning projects related to spacecraft instrumentation. Active Space Technologies wishes to position itself as a reference in technology transfer for space applications, mainly dealing with scientific instruments.

Active Space Technologies builds models and performs thermal analysis of instruments and components for space missions. Thermal Analysis allows the use of the lumped parameter method and finite element methods. However, the lumped parameter method is the most widely use in Thermal Analysis in space environment. Active Space Technologies has expertise both in lumped parameter method and in finite element methods.

Active Space Technologies is a young and dynamic company with expertise in the Space Industry. Our staffs are highly specialised engineers and scientists who received advanced training at the European Space Agency. Besides on-going projects, the company wishes to find new partners to promote the use of Space Industry Technology in everyday life.
