Playout and Distribution
Arqiva has the distribution capacity to deliver satellite television services across a world-wide network. Services include:

• DTH (Direct to Home) Uplinking
  Arqiva's Direct to Home service delivers channels to the Astra 28.2E and Eurobird 28.5E satellites used by the BSkyB platform. Arqiva's comprehensive DTH service includes satellite uplinking and space segment, conditional access insertion, EPG data insertion and interactive data insertion. Arqiva's high capacity, state of the art Television Playout facilities are colocated with its redundant uplink facilities.
• Cable Head-end Distribution
  Arqiva delivers channels to Cable Head-ends using the Sirius 2 satellite. Channels can be originated in Arqiva's playout centre, picked up from the broadcaster's nearest broadcast switching centre or direct from the broadcaster's premises. Arqiva's advanced co-located digital playout centre offers a range of additional services including subtitling, Teletext, multiple audio services and Participation TV services.
• Television Playout
  Arqiva's range of Television Playout services allow broadcasters to tailor their station output to their exact requirements and add additional broadcast channels as they grow. Arqiva's Fully Managed Playout services are delivered from an automated, state-of-the-art, high capacity facility. Customer Controlled Playout provides the broadcaster with complete control allowing operation of channels by secure internet link. Arqiva also offers a range of additional features including subtitles, graphical overlay, voiceovers, Teletext, multiple audios and EPG publishing.
• Satellite Radio Distribution
  Arqiva offers comprehensive satellite uplinking and space segment to deliver radio stations to a TV based audience using the BSkyB platform easier.
  

Occasional Video and Data
Through satellite routes, fibre links and state-of-the art teleport facilities, Arqiva delivers Standard and High Definition video to major broadcast switching centres right across the globe. For delivery on the move Arqiva's fleet of SNG vehicles are equipped to deliver Standard and High Definition video broadcast from wherever you are to wherever you need it to be.

• Teleport Services
  Arqiva owners international teleports in London, Washington, Los Angeles and Paris and also operate over 100 earth stations in sight of over 60 satellites and reaching over 90 per cent of the global population. These are backed up by worldwide connectivity including a dedicated fibre link between Britain and the USA.
• Worldwide Routes
  Arqiva's satellite routes, fibre links and teleport facilities support the delivery of both Standard and High Definition video to major broadcast switching centres across the globe. All services are charged by the minute and are available at bandwidths of 8, 15 and 24 Mb/s. Arqiva has recently introduced High Definition video delivery on routes to London, New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Perth at data rates up to 45 Mb/s.
• Mobile Services (SNG)
  Arqiva operates a fleet of state-of-the-art SNG vehicles. Capable of delivering Standard and High Definition video, each SNG vehicle is fully equipped with an approved ERA 1.5m Ku-band antenna, 16x16 audio/video matrix, Tandberg 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 compression and 9m telescopic camera mast. Two digital carriers can be transmitted simultaneously with two pairs of two-way voice communications. The SNG vehicles are registered for use on all major satellites and licensed for operation in all major European countries.

Digital Media Networks
Digital Media Networks are a powerful way to engage customers, delivering a range of media rich content direct to stores or customers' workplaces.

• In-store TV & Radio
  Arqiva delivers integrated solutions to sound and vision branding across multiple retail and service sites.
• Business Television
  Arqiva has the capability to deliver truly interactive solutions direct to the desktop via broadband or satellite, for product launches, corporate training or investor relations. Arqiva offers a fully managed service delivering a complete end-to-end solution.
• Data and File Distribution
  Arqiva's Data and File Distribution service is capable of delivering data and files in a wide range of formats from a central hub to selected multiple distant sites simultaneously and concurrently. Data distribution is perfect for delivering live feeds of mission critical information to multicast enabled receive sites. File Distribution (from video clips to spreadsheets) includes a publishing interface which allows the flexibility of scheduling and selecting the content and sites for each individual delivery.
• Digital Outdoor Media
  Working across the complete range of audio and visual media from simple message updates to full screen presentations, Arqiva's connectivity digitally delivers content to 'out of home' sites as diverse as banks, streets, bus stops and stations.

International Connectivity
Arqiva's International Private Circuit service provides a global, dedicated and scalable point-to-point link. The Arqiva range of Wholesale Internet Backbone via Satellite solutions enable service providers to deliver internet access to customers in areas where fibre links are unavailable. Arqiva's Hub Services allows the operation of a Virtual Network on Arqiva's infrastructure.

• Wholesale Internet Backbone
  Arqiva's range of Wholesale Internet Backbone via Satellite solutions provides connectivity at data transfer rates from 256 kb/s to 45 Mb/s. Arqiva's direct access to the European Internet Backbones of several Tier One providers, peered at its London teleport, delivers single hop, low latency connectivity.

• Disaster Recovery
  Arqiva's satellite based disaster recovery system automatically restores full communications between critical locations in seconds. Customers' HQ offices are linked to a carrier grade UK teleport and connected via satellite to each of remote locations through small, discrete, fixed or transportable two way satellite terminals.
