EchoStar Satellite Services works with customers for worldwide delivery of full-time and occasional-use services including news, sports, entertainment, catastrophic and special events. We provide cutting-edge broadcast and technology solutions through our satellites, fiber and gateway facilities.
Video Distribution Services - full time transmission of broadcast
content to cable system head ends, broadcast network affiliates and or other
forms of redistribution.
Full Time Contribution - satellite
transmission and transponder services targeted to broadcasters for the
collection of news, sports and entertainment content. Contribution services are
generally used to consolidate content from various locations to assemble into
final programming for distribution.
Occasional Use Services -
satellite transmission services for timely broadcast of news, sports and events
coverage on a short term basis.
Bundled Value Added Services -
including (i) satellite capacity, (ii) MPEG-2, MPEG-4 digital encoding of
broadcast/video channels, (iii) local fiber connectivity, (iv) uplink/downlink
teleport facilities and services, and (v) user-equipment
installation.
Fiber Connectivity & Last Mile - EchoStar's
digital fiber optic network has points of presence in 210 U.S. TV markets and
several countries worldwide. Our highly reliable global network is used to
backhaul, aggregate, and distribute video and audio content for our domestic
and international customers.
