M-Three Satcom is an independent operator
acting in the broadcasting market, providing turnkey solution for production
and transmissions for TV and radio companies.
The company is based in
Milano, where main services are operating through the teleport and the data
centre, in Venice with a commercial and administrative Hq, and in other
locations in Italy (Rome, Bari, Napoli) with point of presence for fibre
connectivity and production and uplink units.
The teleport represent the
main investment of the company, and allow the integration of all different
transmission technologies in order to serve customers with turnkey solutions
and with the maximum efficiency and reliability.
The success of the
company is based on the skilled team and the control of the elements of the
supply chain for all services provided: the Teleport and Access points, the
technology, the Satellite capacity and the fibre network.
M-Three
satellite and fibre services are integrated and distributed also thanks to long
term contracts with two main operators: Paris based Eutelsat SA for the
satellite capacity and London based Interoute Plc for the fibre network. This
allows M-Three to serve customer with the best cost-effective solutions and
with no limits in term of bandwidth upgrades, efficiency and guaranties. In
addition, the company has strong relations with a network of installers and
service providers in Italy for the maintenance and installation and for the
provision of specific services such as live transmissions or event
production.
The company is focused on the TV and Radio broadcasting
sector, which benefit from a full bouquet of end to end services,
including:
Teleport Services and point of
access
M-Three own a Teleport in Milano, sited in a main node of the
Interoute fibre network, and representing the state-of the art for a
communication centre. The structure includes a 400sq.mt rack room with
available space for collocation, offices and space for temporary studio
services, and an external area with visibility of a full range of
satellites.
The teleport is easily accessed from all Europe and Italy
through the Interoute fibre network, and from all the northern are Italy area
via radio bridges. Customers are also using the teleport as studio and playout
facility, due to the strategic position - 5 minutes from the main motorway
access to Milano and 15 minutes from Linate Airport.
An area of the
teleport is dedicated to the collocation of customers facility such playout
servers or downlink solution, allowing TV and radios to share the structure and
saving costs.
The core of the teleport services is represented by the
DVB transmission digital platform: M-Three broadcast Radio and TV Bouquets in
the Pan European Area through Hot Bird 8 @13°East and Eurobird 9
@9°East.
Actually M-Three operates transmissions for 40 different TV
and radio networks, both on Hot Bird, EB9, or with occasional use services. The
company has recently started the transmission on EB9 in High Definition with
Mp4 technology.
Other installed stations are serving other areas via
satellites as PAS12, AB1, AB3. The fibre available from the teleport allows any
configuration for the connectivity from 2Mbps to TB with main Italian and
European cities, as well as Americas and Asia through Interoute's and other
partners network. M-Three directly operates other two access point in Venice
and Rome, and benefits from other 25 point of presence operated by Interoute in
Italy.
Satellite Capacity and Occasional use Services: for customers
which operates their own networks, M-Three provide at the best prices and with
tailored solutions, any capacity on space segments with worldwide
coverage.
For Italian networks as well as for all international
customers, M-Three is available for any solution in term of live feeds both
from the teleport or from the event's sites. A number of DSNG trucks and Fly
away systems are available in Italy co-ordinated by the M-Three booking Centre.
Main sports and political events (such as the Winter Olympics of Turin and main
Party and Unions conventions) of last years was covered by M-Three team with
high reliability and flexibility.
Additional services are given by the
consultancy team and covers all customers needs in term of licensing,
authorisation, or on-field analysis for the solution of legal and technical
problems in the use of radio frequency spectrum.
