The new Programmable Products Division of
Xantrex Technology Inc. (Formerly Elgar Electronics Corporation), headquartered
in San Diego, CA., is the leader in the design and manufacture of precision,
programmable power supplies used in R&D, test and measurement, process
control, power bus simulation and power conditioning applications across a wide
variety of industrial segments.
From bench top supplies and rack mounted
industrial power subsystems to sophisticated Space Power Simulation Products,
the Programmable Products Division of Xantrex provides Sorensen, Xantrex and
PowerTen DC supplies from 30W to 150KW, programmable Elgar AC sources from
800VA to 480KVA and Sorensen AC/DC loads in both modular and high power
models.
As part of Xantrex Technology Inc, a world leader in the
development, manufacturing and marketing of advanced power electronic products
and systems for the renewable, portable, mobile, and programmable power
markets, the Programmable Products Division adds to and benefits from the
corporation's advanced power conversion technology.

Since
1965, Elgar Electronics Corporation has applied the newest electronic
technologies to solve complex and varied power challenges in markets including
semiconductors, telecommunications, and measurement and control. In doing so,
the company has earned a reputation for quality and reliability in power
related products. We strive for excellence in our standard products and in
providing customized power solutions. Elgar is headquartered in San Diego,
California. Three facilities total more than 140,000 square feet accommodating
administration, sales, engineering and manufacturing with about 400
employees.
In January 1994, Elgar acquired Sorensen, a company with over
50 years of leadership in manufacturing reliable DC power supplies. Power Ten
became part of Elgar in 1998. Started in 1981 to service the semiconductor burn
in requirements, the Power Ten product line has expanded our high power
programmable DC offering to 30 kW with modular designs that offer unmatched
flexibility to bulk power users.
Elgar's sales and service network
provides convenient local technical assistance. Our products are distributed
through manufacturers' representatives in over 100 locations
