Sandmartin manufactures set top boxes, LNBs
and DiSEqC switches.
Sandmartin was founded in 1987 in Taipei. The
initial production covered high-quality, communication related precision
products and accessories. However, Sandmartin recognized very early the immense
Growth potential of digital video broadcasting and started its own designed,
manufactured and distributed satellite TV products.
Today Sandmartin
offers an extensive and well considered portfolio of products for the different
requirements of all the regions worldwide. Despite the complexity of digital TV
reception systems, Sandmartin was able to gain reputation as a leading
manufacturer who is capable of customizing designs and features regarding our
customers requirements.
The groups Zhongshan City facilities are all
strategically located in Guangdong Province, which is China's manufacturing
hub. Covering a total area of over 130,000 square meters of factory floor, the
Sandmartin facilities employ over 5000 people for production. The central
factory includes 7 buildings and is home of our R&D and other key
production departments. Another Sandmartin factory nearby is producing zinc and
aluminum parts. The groups head quarter is located in the Zhuhai Free Trade
Zone. Our financial head quarter is located in Hong Kong, where Sandmartin is
listed in the Hang Seng Index of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since May
2005.
The group obtained the ISO 9001:2000 certification for management
and production, demonstrating its commitment to the highest level of quality.
Complying to international safety standards and regulations is part of
Sandmartin's ODM strategy as well as the target to offer all the related
products from the front end (signal reception) to the back end (signal
display). This allows us to be a one stop electronics manufacturer for
distributors and an integral part of our customers' development
strategies.
