Victory's
Microwave Division was established in 1990 by Dr. Ming Hui Chen with the vision
to design and develop high performance and quality microwave devices and
produce them at low cost in high volume with the die-casting manufacturing
process. Victory has developed extensive experience in supplying components to
many customers for military, space and commercial programs.
Victory
began supporting the Taiwan space program in 1992 through ROCSAT-1, the
government sponsored LEO satellite project. As a strong testament to Victory's
technical expertise, we continue to be the sole Taiwanese supplier of space
qualified antenna hardware for the ROCSAT programs (e.g. ROCSAT-2 and ROCSAT-3)
over the past decade. As part of the ROCSAT program, Victory received
technology transfer from TRW Space & Electronics Group in the United States
and sent engineers and QA personnel to undergo training for space qualified
material processes and work standards. Victory's products were subsequently
space qualified to TRW's rigorous requirements, and Victory currently counts
leading and emerging satellite antenna and microwave hardware developers such
as NEC in Japan, Astrium in France, Orbital Sciences Corp. in the United States
and the SaTReCi initiative in Korea as its customers.
Victory also
started offering a wide range of commercial antennas and microwave components
in 1994. Victory first expanded into the VSAT ground equipment market by
investing in tooling and successfully developing methods for die-casting OMTs
and feed networks. By 1995, Victory had developed several models of VSAT
antennas for Ground Terminal that were certified by INTELSAT. Victory has
expanded its product base since 1996 to include components (such as waveguide
filters and diplexers) used in terrestrial microwave radio systems from 3 to 38
GHz links. Victory soon began high volume production of antennas and diplexers
used for subscribers and basestations in Ka-band LMDS systems by converging its
expertise in microwave engineering with die-casting techniques. This resulted
in rapid and on-time delivery of volume products that would have been
impossible by traditional manufacturing approaches. In the past year, Victory
has completed development of antennas and diplexers for available frequency
spectrum bands at 2.4, 3.5 and 5.8 GHz.
Victory has received numerous
awards and holds several patents on innovative designs since its establishment.
Victory's antennas and feed networks have gone through series of improvements
to receive Type Approval from INTELSAT and have also been approved by EUTELSAT
as a system component supplier. Over the past decade, Victory's microwave
division has grown from a single individual into a complete operational
division composed of highly talented engineers, technicians and production
personnel who are able to research, develop and manufacture state-of-the-art
microwave components.
