Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Xytrans
designs and produces millimeter wave sensors for the security market. Xytrans
is a technology leader in this market segment having designed, developed and
produced the world's first production W-band sensor.
Xytrans was a
spin-out of Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Orlando which has a
rich heritage in millimeter wave design and development. Xytrans has
demonstrated its ability to innovate since its inception having developed the
world's smallest Ka-band VSAT outdoor unit and a high performance outdoor unit
for point-to-point communications that required no tuning, used no cables or
wire harnesses, and at the time of its launch was 10 times smaller then the
competition. Following these product developments, Xytrans was asked to produce
a passive radiometer to be used in a concealed weapons detection system. In
answering this request, Xytrans developed the world's most sensitive passive
W-band sensor (0.2 degree k) and move it from prototype to production in record
time. Xytrans sensor is used in a concealed weapons detection system that has
been featured on CNN twice and continues to win acclaim.
Xytrans
continues to innovate and pursue development of sensors for use in people
screening, IED detection, border and infrastructure protection, remote sensing,
and wide area surveillance.
